• Evidence Photos: When adding vaccination records, you may upload photographic evidence (e.g., vaccination cards or receipts). These images are stored securely on our servers.
• Profile Photos: You may optionally upload a profile picture.

1.3 Automatically Collected Information

• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
• Usage Data: App interaction data, timestamps, and feature usage patterns.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Vaccination Tracking: To generate and manage personalized vaccination schedules for your children.
• Notifications & Reminders: To send push notifications for upcoming vaccinations, appointment reminders, and schedule updates.
• Certificate Generation: To generate digital immunization certificates based on completed vaccinations.
• Physician Coordination: To enable physicians to view, verify, and manage vaccination records for children under their care.
• Reschedule Management: To process and manage vaccination reschedule requests between parents and physicians.
• Account Management: To create and maintain your user account and authenticate your identity.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your data may be shared only in the following circumstances:

• With Physicians: Vaccination records and child profiles are shared with your assigned physician for the purpose of medical care and record verification.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, or legal process.
• Service Providers: We may share data with trusted service providers who assist in operating our app (e.g., hosting services), subject to strict confidentiality agreements.

4. Data Storage & Security

• All data is transmitted using HTTPS encryption to protect information in transit.
• Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing algorithms and are never stored in plain text.
• Uploaded images and files are stored on secured servers with restricted access.

VaccSmart requests the following permissions on your device:

6. Children's Privacy

VaccSmart is designed to help parents/guardians manage their children's vaccination records. We collect children's information (name, date of birth, gender, vaccination data) solely for the purpose of vaccination tracking and management. This data is:

• Accessible only to the registered parent/guardian and assigned physician.
• Never used for advertising or marketing purposes.
• Never shared with third parties except as described in Section 3.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data stored in the App.
• Update or correct your information through your account settings.
• Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us or using the in-app delete option.
• Withdraw consent for data processing at any time.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

9. Third-Party Services

VaccSmart may use the following third-party services:

• Google Play Services – For app distribution and updates.
• Firebase – For push notifications and analytics.
